On December 22, 2020, in the Yazyavan district, a 16-year-old boy drowned in the Great Fergana Canal. His body has been found today, on March 5.

The corpse of A.A. was found 2-3 km from where he sank. This information was confirmed to Kun.uz by the press secretary of the Yazyavan district khokimiyat Azimjon Khudoykulov.

“The boy drowned in the Canal on December 22 last year. He dived into the water and drowned. Rescue operations were carried out by the regional emergency departments, internal affairs departments and other law enforcement agencies. The young man’s body was found earlier this afternoon. At present, a forensic medical examination is underway,” the representative of the khokimiyat told Kun.uz.

It should be recalled that Kun.uz covered the details of the incident. One of the relatives of the deceased said that the reason why the lad dived into the water in much colder weather was that he was contending with his friends.

The boy’s father returned home from Russia the same day after two years of emigration, but he could not see his son because of the tragedy.
