Samarkand to establish 18 schools specializing in teaching foreign languages

Annually, at least 1 billion soums will be allocated from the local budget for the activities of special schools teaching foreign languages in Samarkand.
In Samarkand region, 18 schools will be created specializing in teaching foreign languages. Higher educational institutions will be involved in the creation of such schools. The khokim of the region, Erkinjon Turdimov, has signed a relevant decree.
According to the document, annually, at least 1 billion soums will be allocated from the local budget to provide these schools with the necessary literature and equipment for teaching foreign languages.
Also, qualified foreign specialists will be attracted to these educational institutions. Teachers from the region will undergo short-term professional development courses in foreign countries.
In addition, in 2021, 2.322 billion soums will be allocated from the local budget and its additional sources to equip 18 schools specializing in teaching foreign languages with technical means.
