Coronavirus and pneumonia: Death toll increases

According to the Ministry of Health, the total number of registered coronavirus cases has reached 131,978 (+899).

Reportedly, 121 COVID-19 cases were registered in the city of Tashkent, 94 – in Karakalpakstan, 42 – in Andijan, 24 – in Bukhara, 97 – in Jizzakh, 26 – in Kashkadarya, 17 – in Navoi, 32 – in Namangan, 93 – in Samarkand, 25 – in Syrdarya, 98 – in Surkhandarya, 86 – in Fergana, 45 – in Khorezm and 99 – in Tashkent region.

7 COVID-19 patients died yesterday, the official death toll – 893.

As of August 2, the number of recovered stands at 124,728 (+733).

Also, 516 people tested positive for pneumonia on Monday, bringing the total number of cases to 11,883. According to the Ministry of Health, 324 of them recovered yesterday (4,577 in total).

3 pneumonia patients died on August 2, and to date, the number of deaths from pneumonia is 79.
