Recently, in Uzbekistan, the Republican Special Commission has announced a new decision.
According to document, from August 13 of this year, it is allowed to perform Friday prayers in mosques. However, mosque staff must fulfill certain requirements.
In particular, all employees and workers of mosques (except for people with contraindications for health) must receive at least two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and have a corresponding certificate (reference). Only then will it be allowed to perform Friday prayers in the same mosque.
Visitors who have a QR code or a certificate of vaccination against coronavirus (except for people with contraindications for health) will be allowed to enter the mosque.
In addition, visitors are required to comply with all quarantine rules – they must wear masks, maintain social distance, etc.
The Republican Special Commission also recommended that representatives of other confessions comply with the above requirements.
It should be recalled that since mid-July, Friday prayers have been temporarily suspended in mosques due to the coronavirus.
Earlier, Kun.uz correspondents told how to get reference and QR code for those who have been vaccinated.
