Expert tells whether it is necessary to wear masks for vaccinated people of Uzbekistan
Dilorom Tursunova, head of the department of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Service, said whether it is necessary to wear masks after being vaccinated against coronavirus.
“After a full course of vaccination, immunity is formed in three weeks. During this period, a person is not fully protected. Therefore, it is important to observe all precautions,” she said.
Dilorom Tursunova recalled that the mask regime has not yet been canceled in Uzbekistan.
“Vaccinated or not, everyone should wear masks. If a person is alone, there is no one around him, and there is no danger of contracting the coronavirus, then in such cases it is possible not to wear a mask,” the expert concluded.
According to the latest data, on August 20, 881 people contracted the coronavirus in the republic. The total number of reported cases was 148,203.
The total number of people cured of coronavirus in the country has reached 140,941, or 95% of cases. Also over the past day, seven new death cases were recorded. The official death toll stands at 1,015.
