Health Ministry reports 881 coronavirus, 412 pneumonia cases

According to the Ministry of Health, the total number of registered coronavirus cases has reached 148,203 (+881).

Reportedly, 194 COVID-19 cases were registered in the city of Tashkent, 83 – in Karakalpakstan, 43 – in Andijan, 24 – in Bukhara, 45 – in Jizzakh, 33 – in Kashkadarya, 15 – in Navoi, 42 – in Namangan, 89 – in Samarkand, 24 – in Syrdarya, 85 – in Surkhandarya, 87 – in Fergana, 25 – in Khorezm and 92 – in Tashkent region.

7 COVID-19 patients died yesterday, the official death toll – 1,015.

As of August 20, the number of recovered stands at 140,941 (+853).

Also, 412 people tested positive for pneumonia on Friday, bringing the total number of cases to 20,393. According to the Ministry of Health, 408 of them recovered yesterday (12,929 in total).

3 pneumonia patients died on August 20, and to date, the number of deaths from pneumonia is 138.
