Academic year at higher education institutions to start on Sept 6 in traditional format

The new academic year at higher education institutions of Uzbekistan will begin on September 6 in a traditional format.

The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education has stated that classes will be conducted offline. 

However, pregnant students and women with children under 3 years of age can attend classes online.

It should be noted that this year, 948,211 people applied for undergraduate programs at universities although the State Testing Center had estimated their number at around 1.6 million.
