Coronavirus and pneumonia: Over 1,200 new cases registered

According to the Ministry of Health, the total number of registered coronavirus cases has reached 153,204 (+841).

Reportedly, 242 COVID-19 cases were registered in the city of Tashkent, 87 – in Karakalpakstan, 41 – in Andijan, 17 – in Bukhara, 28 – in Jizzakh, 15 – in Kashkadarya, 15 – in Navoi, 38 – in Namangan, 79 – in Samarkand, 18 – in Syrdarya, 51 – in Surkhandarya, 83 – in Fergana, 22 – in Khorezm and 105 – in Tashkent region.

6 COVID-19 patients died yesterday, the official death toll – 1,056.

As of August 26, the number of recovered stands at 145,693 (+705).

Also, 361 people tested positive for pneumonia on Thursday, bringing the total number of cases to 22,505. According to the Ministry of Health, 350 of them recovered yesterday (15,010 in total).

3 pneumonia patients died on August 26, and to date, the number of deaths from pneumonia is 159.
