Shavkat Mirziyoyev sends a letter of condolences to US President Joe Biden
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has sent a letter of condolences to US President Joe Biden, the spokesperson for the President, Sherzod Asadov, said.
In his message, Mirziyoyev expressed sincere condolences in connection with the victims among the US military as a result of the terrorist act on the territory of the international airport in Kabul, conveyed words of sympathy and support to the families and friends of those killed.
Two explosions near Kabul airport on August 26 killed more than 200 people, most of them Afghans. Among the dead, there are 13 US military personnel, including 10 Marines. Another 18 US military were injured.
Uzbekistan condemns the terrorist attacks in Kabul, which led to numerous casualties, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said in a statement earlier.
