Over 250 Afghan entrepreneurs arrive in Uzbekistan to participate in a joint business forum
On June 2, Uzbekistan's Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade met with Haji Nooruddin Azizi, the Minister of Commerce and Industry of Afghanistan.
According to the MIIT, during the meeting, the parties thoroughly discussed the current state of trade-economic and investment cooperation, as well as the progress of implementing major joint infrastructure projects.
Specific measures were identified to increase mutual trade volumes, activate the activities of border trade zones, and develop investment cooperation.
Organizational issues of the joint business forum, which will be attended by over 250 Afghan entrepreneurs, and the "Made in Afghanistan" exhibition, showcasing products from 75 major Afghan companies operating in sectors such as jewelry, textiles, food, electrical engineering, mining, transport, and logistics, were also discussed.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that the events held in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan would significantly enhance mutual cooperation between the business circles of the two countries, increase trade volumes, and initiate new mutually beneficial initiatives.
