Coronavirus and pneumonia: Nearly 800 new infection cases reported
On September 8, 653 people were diagnosed with coronavirus, 135 with pneumonia in Uzbekistan.
According to the Ministry of Health, the total number of registered coronavirus cases has reached 162,421 (+653).
Reportedly, 242 COVID-19 cases were registered in the city of Tashkent, 41 – in Karakalpakstan, 19 – in Andijan, 12 – in Bukhara, 17 – in Jizzakh, 12 – in Kashkadarya, 7 – in Navoi, 18 – in Namangan, 68 – in Samarkand, 14 – in Syrdarya, 16 – in Surkhandarya, 55 – in Fergana, 25 – in Khorezm and 107 – in Tashkent region.
5 COVID-19 patients died yesterday, the official death toll – 1,137.
As of September 8, the number of recovered stands at 154,374 (+723).
Also, 135 people tested positive for pneumonia on Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases to 24,956. According to the Ministry of Health, 305 of them recovered yesterday (18,626 in total).
2 pneumonia patients died on September 8, and to date, the number of deaths from pneumonia is 198.
