Gov’t to regulate prices for social housing in accordance with a new system
Soon in Uzbekistan, prices for social housing will be regulated according to the new system.
The President of Uzbekistan stared about this on September 27 during a meeting with voters in the Namangan region, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
“After Namangan we will visit Fergana, Baghdad district. We will take a look at the construction of new nine-storey buildings. These construction sites are exemplary, they should appear in every region. Now even nine-storey buildings are becoming small, it is necessary to build 16-20-storey buildings,” the head of state said.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that soon, when providing social housing, prices will be set based on the socio-economic situation of families.
“For low-income families there will be lower prices, and for those who have the opportunity, a little higher. These are also reforms for the benefit of people,” he said.
The President also said that 127,000 people are unemployed in the Namangan region, 42,000 young people join the labor market every year.
Reportedly, 27,000 families do not have a permanent source of income.
