Uzbekistan increases electricity production

Uzbekistan produced 46 billion kWh of electricity in January-August 2021, the State Statistics Committee reported.

According to the committee, electricity production increased by 3.8 billion kWh (9%) compared to the same period last year.

The following regions were leaders in electricity generation:

• Tashkent region – 23.1%
• Syrdarya region – 22.7%
• Kashkadarya region – 19.2%
• Navoi region – 15.7%
