Uzbekistan, NATO discuss prospects for cooperation
The head of Uzbekistan’s mission to NATO, Ambassador Dilyor Hakimov, met with the newly appointed Deputy Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization for Political Affairs and Security Policy, Special Envoy for Central Asia and the Caucasus Javier Colomina.
It was noted at the meeting that Uzbekistan considers NATO an important partner in the fight against modern security threats and supports the development of contacts on a wide range of issues of mutual interest.
As a result of joint efforts, the dialogue between Uzbekistan and NATO is continuing to develop, and one of the important directions of cooperation is the further expansion of military and military-technical ties with foreign partners.
The current state and prospects of Uzbekistan’s cooperation with NATO were also considered at the meeting within the framework of the Alliance’s “Partnership for Peace” program.
