The humanitarian cargo will be delivered as part of the agreement on the supply of medical equipment and healthcare items to Karakalpakstan for a total of $3 million, previously reached with the charity Project C.U.R.E.

This was announced during a meeting between Ambassador Javlon Vakhabov and Project C.U.R.E. Director for Work with International Governments Melisa Esposti. The American side assured that the humanitarian cargo will be delivered to Karakalpakstan in December.

The Director of Project C.U.R.E. said that 24 medical institutions in Karakalpakstan have the most urgent needs for medical equipment, and in this regard, the organization plans to send these four containers with humanitarian aid to these medical institutions.

According to the Uzbek Embassy, the containers contain electro-hydraulic operating tables, hemodialysis machines, ultrasound equipment, X-ray scanners, intensive care incubators for newborns, defibrillators, laboratory devices, medical oxygen cylinders, trolleys for transporting patients, CPAP-therapy devices, anesthesia and respiratory devices, and other equipment.

In May 2021, Project C.U.R.E. sent the first shipment of humanitarian aid to the health authorities of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, containing selected medical supplies, equipment, mobile ventilators and healthcare items.
