Reasons for rise in gasoline prices being studied in Uzbekistan

The relevant departments are working to identify and eliminate factors affecting gasoline prices, the press service of the Antimonopoly Committee reported.
“Today, the Antimonopoly Committee, together with the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction, the Republican Commodity Exchange and other departments, continues to work to identify and eliminate factors affecting gasoline prices, including signs of market participants’ actions aimed at artificially inflate them,” the message reads.
Additional information on the ongoing work will be presented at a joint press conference.
Previously, it was reported that in Uzbekistan, the exchange value of AI-80 gasoline has increased by 70% since the beginning of this year.
