Shavkat Mirziyoyev to visit Kashkadarya
Today, December 25, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Kashkadarya region. He will attend the opening ceremony of the Uzbekistan GTL synthetic liquid fuel plant.
The plant is expected to produce oil products and hydrocarbons for a total amount of more than $1 billion (12.8 trillion soums).
In terms of its scale, the UzGTL synthetic liquid fuel plant is one of the largest investment projects not only in Uzbekistan, but also in the CIS countries. The project is aimed at expanding the capacity of Uzbekistan for deep processing of natural gas, drastically reducing imports of hydrocarbon raw materials, as well as strengthening the energy independence of the republic.
With the commissioning of the plant, up to 1.5 million tons of high-quality and environmentally friendly oil products will be supplied to the domestic market annually.
Construction and installation work under the contract is carried out by a consortium of companies Hyundai Engineering Co. Ltd., Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co. Ltd. (Republic of Korea) and Enter Engineering Pte. Ltd. (Singapore).
