As the press service of the Tashkent city police department reported, on December 27 of the current year, 26-year-old S.T. made an appeal through 102 service number.
The man said that he, together with his acquaintance, 29-year-old A. M., had found suspicious rusty objects, similar to training artillery shells, on the territory of an object under construction in the Yakkasaray district.
“Having shown civil concern about the finding, he decided to transfer the information to emergency services,” the press service said.
The staff of the Tashkent city DIA promptly arrived at the scene together with the MIA ammunition disposal specialists.
“The study of the subjects helped to establish that they were two 115 mm artillery training projectiles and two 82 mm mortar training projectiles, designed for safe use during training,” the report said.
The verification of the above fact continues.
