Gov’t plans to increase maximum salary accepted for calculating pensions
The Single Portal has published a draft presidential decree “On the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022–2026”.

According to the document, from January 1, 2023, Uzbekistan intends to increase the maximum wage accepted for calculating a pension, from ten to twelve times the size of the calculating pension indicator (CPI).
In addition, if the document is approved and enters into force, then the Ministry of Finance will be instructed to submit a draft law within three months, providing for the introduction, along with a revision of the CPI, the following amendments to the law “On State Pension Provision of Citizens”:
- an increase from 3 to 6 years of the total time spent on parental leave counted in work experience when calculating pensions for women;
- inclusion in the length of service of the time of caring for children with disabilities from childhood to 18 years when assigning a pension.
