Energy Ministry clarifies whether there will be a massive power outage in Fergana Valley
Information has spread on social networks that electricity will be cut off in Andijan, Namangan and Fergana regions.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy, in order to further improve the reliability of electricity supplied to consumers in Namangan, Fergana and Andijan regions, it is planned to repair 500 kV transmission lines during weekdays and at night.
“These works will be carried out at night from 00:00 to 04:00 (within four hours) at a height of 70 meters, without interruptions in the power supply to consumers. Dear consumers, due to rainy weather on February 8-9, this scheduled repair will not be carried out,” the ministry said.
Consumers will be notified in advance of the repair work.
