Taliban to deploy 10 thousand militants to the border with Tajikistan and Uzbekistan
Taliban is sending 10,000 militants armed with modern weapons and equipment to the provinces bordering Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, Chief of Staff of the Taliban Armed Forces Kari Fasihuddin Fitrat said on Monday.
“A powerful army of 10,000, armed with the latest equipment, will be deployed in the northern and northeastern provinces of the country. They will give rebuff to any armed action,” Fitrat said on Twitter.
“In the shortest possible time, combat aircraft will be ready and will support this powerful force,” he added.
The northern province of Afghanistan, Balkh, borders Uzbekistan, the northeastern provinces, Kunduz, Takhar and Badakhshan, borders Tajikistan.
