National Olympic Committee Chairman Rustam Shoabdurakhmanov has resigned from the position of his own free will.

According to the press service of the organization, today, February 17, an extraordinary meeting of the NOC Executive Committee considered his resignation.
The committee approved his request.
The new head of the National Olympic Committee should be elected at an extraordinary meeting of the NOC General Assembly.
Rustam Shoabdurakhmanov has been the Chairman of the NOC since May 2019.
