Uzbekistan preparing for fifth meeting of working group on WTO accession
Laziz Kudratov, First Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, held talks with David McAllister, Chairman of the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs, the MIFT press service reported.
The current state of trade-economic, investment, financial and technical cooperation, as well as cultural-humanitarian relations were discussed at the meeting.
In particular, the sides discussed issues of accelerating the signing of the Extended Partnership and Cooperation Agreement, Uzbekistan’s accession to the World Trade Organization and further expansion of cooperation in the framework of the European Union’s use of the GSP+ Preference System.
The issues of organizing the fifth meeting of the working group on Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO were also discussed.
