Uzbekistan registers over 200 thousand births in three months
As of April 1, 2022 – since the beginning of the year - 203.7 thousand births have been registered in Uzbekistan.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the figure increased by 13.4% compared to the same period last year.
In January alone, 69,198 babies were born in Uzbekistan. The highest number of births was registered in Samarkand region.
The permanent population of the republic, as of April 1, reached 35,433,772.
The number of births registered in Uzbekistan in 2021 increased by 25.1% compared to 1991.
