Uzbekistan increases wheat flour imports, main supplier still Kazakhstan

According to the State Statistics Committee, the volume of wheat flour imports increased by 22,000 tons compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting period, the republic imported wheat flour mainly from the following countries:

• Kazakhstan – 122.8 thousand tons;
• Russia – 1.9 thousand tons;
• USA – 50 tons;
• Italy – 27 tons;
• India – 2 tons;
• France – 1.8 tons.

In April alone, Uzbekistan imported 32.2 thousand tons of wheat flour, the committee added.
