Differentiated tariffs for electricity and gas to be introduced from July 1
A draft resolution on increasing electricity and gas tariffs has been submitted for discussion.
As expected, tariffs will be differentiated by introducing a monthly base rate: 250 kWh for electricity, 700 cubic meters for gas in the heating season, up to 200 cubic meters in the non-heated season - at reduced prices, above the specified norms - at the market price. This will reduce budget subsidies for the most energy-consuming (relatively affluent) segments of the population.
Reportedly, in most families the amount of additional payments will be up to 7.5 thousand soums per month for electricity, up to 6 thousand soums for natural gas in the warm season, and up to 21 thousand soums in the heating season.
