The Central Bank summed up the results of the competition for the development of the graphic symbol of soum.
In February, the Central Bank announced a competition to develop a national currency symbol. As part of the competition, it was planned to determine the best graphic works that symbolize the identity, cultural values and distinctive features of the national currency.
As a result, 508 creative projects were selected, each of which was assigned an individual code to ensure confidentiality.
Then all projects passed technical expertise - checks for compliance with the competition criteria. Based on the results, 54 projects were submitted for consideration by the competitive jury.
The final stage of the competition included the evaluation of projects by representatives of the Central Bank, the National Institute of Arts and Design named after Kamoliddin Behzod and the Agency for Intellectual Property.
As a result of the competition, the jury chose the graphic symbol developed by Sarvar Jumagaldiev as the most creative project, which vividly expresses the uniqueness of the sign of the national currency of Uzbekistan.
