Calls to Ambulance service increase dramatically
The Ambulance service received 6,245,280 calls in January-June 2022. Most of them are from Fergana and Andijan regions.
According to the Ministry of Health, the number of calls to “103” increased by about 433,900 compared to the same period last year.
570,817 people who called the Ambulance service were hospitalized.
Most calls by provinces:
Fergana - 719,341;
Andijan - 666,206;
Tashkent region - 623,095;
Tashkent city - 622,578.
During the reporting period, the “103” service received 11,157 calls about patients infected with coronavirus or suspected of the disease.
In recent weeks, there has been an increase in cases of illness and the number of calls to the Ambulance service in Uzbekistan. Therefore, mobile ambulance brigades are being organized across the country. This will help to reach the call destinations on time and prevent delays, the ministry says.
