Uzbekistan plans to double uranium production
The President signed a resolution “On measures to increase the volume of production, processing of uranium and the transformation of the state enterprise “Navoiyuran” in 2022-2030”.
According to the document, Uzbekistan plans to double uranium production in 2022-2030.
In accordance with the document, the production volume is planned to be increased from 3,526 tons in 2021 to 7,100 tons in 2030.
The document also approved indicators for the growth rate of uranium reserves in 2022-2030 due to the intensification of exploration work - from 4,700 tons to 10.5 thousand tons.
The resolution approved a list of 20 investment projects worth about $460 million to increase uranium production in the republic.
