Several regions in Uzbekistan shatter heat records in July
In several regions of the country, the absolute record for maximum air temperature has been updated.

Uzhydromet reported that in July the air temperature record was broken. In particular, on July 22, in some areas of Khorezm and Navoi regions, the absolute record of the maximum air temperature for all the years of meteorological observations was updated. In the districts of Tuyamuyun, 47.5 degrees of heat was recorded (last year it was 46.1 degrees), in Uchkuduk the air temperature warmed up to a maximum of 46.3 degrees (last year it was 46.2 degrees).
For information, in the entire history of meteorological observations, the highest temperatures in Uzbekistan (about 50 degrees) were recorded in the Kyzylkum desert and the city of Termez (in July 1944). The maximum temperature in Tashkent 44.6 degrees was recorded on July 18, 1997.
