During a press conference held in Tashkent, the head of the information service of Uzsuvtaminot JSC Akmal Murodov said that from January 1, 2023, the installation of modern water meters with remote data transmission will begin.
Entrepreneurs should be the first to install meters from January next year. At the same time, in order to stimulate entrepreneurs for the installation of water meters, tax incentives of up to 4 BCAs will be provided.
It is noted that starting from January 1, 2024, legal entities, as well as consumers engaged in entrepreneurial activities without registering a legal entity, who have not installed “smart” water meters, will be considered consumers not provided with water meters.
To date, technical requirements for cold and hot water meters (from Dn-15 to Dn-25 and from Dn-32 to Dn-1500) have been developed and approved. Based on these requirements, starting from 2023, foreign and domestic meter manufacturers have the right to sell and install their own water meters.
Technical requirements of the meters can be found on the Uzsuvtaminot official website.
