The President signed a decree “On priority measures to reform the waste management system”.
According to the document, public environmental control inspectors will be given access to the “Yashil makon” platform and other platforms maintained by the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection.
It is planned to expand the systematic work of the “Environmental patrol” by transferring the following tasks and powers to the prophylactic inspectors (senior inspectors) of the internal affairs bodies to exercise environmental control in mahallas:
ꞏ implementing the prevention of offenses related to ecology, environmental protection and nature management, as well as the fight against poaching in mahallas;
ꞏ direct bringing to administrative responsibility and implementation of pre-investigation checks on offenses related to ecology, environmental protection and nature management, as well as on the fight against poaching.
According to the results of revealed facts of violating environmental legislation and taking the necessary measures on them, public inspectors of environmental control are encouraged with monetary rewards.
Prophylactic inspectors (senior inspectors), employees of the patrol service of the internal affairs bodies and military personnel (employees) of the National Guard are encouraged with a monetary reward in the amount of 30% of the funds collected as a fine as a result of taking measures to bring to administrative responsibility for offenses in the field of ecology and environmental protection.
