Uzbekistan increases beef imports, Brazil among TOP-3 suppliers

In January-July 2022, Uzbekistan imported 26.9 thousand tons of beef from 9 countries for $116.4 million.

According to the State Statistics Committee, beef imports increased by 10.5 thousand tons compared to the same period last year.

Belarus leads among the countries that exported the most beef to Uzbekistan in the 7 months of 2022 - 14.4 thousand tons, Kazakhstan follows with 9.1 thousand tons. Brazil concluded the list of TOP-3 suppliers (1.3 thousand tons).

Also, during the reporting period, Uzbekistan imported 784 tons of beef from India and 604 tons from Russia.
