Andijan region prosecutor’s office opens criminal case over death of a one-year-old child in hospital

Information has been circulated on the Internet that a one-year-old child who was admitted to the Shakhrikhan district medical association with abdominal pain died in the medical facility.

As reported by the Andijan region prosecutor’s office, on September 3, the baby was admitted to a private clinic in the Shakhrikhan district. However, due to the deterioration of health during treatment, the child died.

On September 27, the prosecutor’s office of the Shakhrikhan district initiated a criminal case under Part 3, Article 116 of the Criminal Code (Improper performance of professional duties, resulting in the death of a person by negligence).

Currently, an investigation is underway.
