Thailand changes procedure for citizens of Uzbekistan planning to visit the kingdom

By the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kingdom of Thailand in the period from October 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023, the period of temporary stay in Thailand for citizens of Uzbekistan receiving visas on arrival has been increased from 15 to 30 days, and also canceled for all categories of citizens requirement to present a certificate of vaccination or PCR test.

Visas are issued to citizens of Uzbekistan at a special counter with the inscription “Visa on Arrival”, where one must present:

- passport (valid for at least 6 months from the planned date of departure from Thailand);
- 1 photo of 4×6 cm, on a white background (taken no earlier than 6 months before the visa was issued. One can take a picture at the airport for about $10);
- a copy of the return ticket;
- visa fee of THB 2,000 (approximately $55) per person, paid in baht;
- a completed visa application form, it can be downloaded in advance at https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/simple-file-list2/form-download/1486544488315.pdf, or handwritten upon arrival at the airport.

Along with this, when passing through immigration, citizens may be required to present a confirmation of a hotel reservation or the presence of 20,000 baht per person (approximately $550).
