The number of residents in the regions as of October 1, 2022:
- Samarkand region - 4,094.6 thousand people
- Fergana region - 3,954.2 thousand people
- Kashkadarya region - 3,461.4 thousand people
- Andijan region - 3,304.2 thousand people
- Tashkent region - 2,977.0 thousand people
- Namangan region - 2,979.3 thousand people
- Tashkent city - 2,934.1 thousand people
- Surkhandarya region - 2,789.3 thousand people
- Bukhara region - 2,000.3 thousand people
- Karakalpakstan R. - 1,970.6 thousand people
- Khorezm region - 1,947.1 thousand people
- Jizzakh region - 1,466.6 thousand people
- Navoi region - 1,050.1 thousand people
- Syrdarya region - 892.2 thousand people
The city of Gozgon (9 thousand), Tomdi district (15.7 thousand) and the city of Shirin (19.2 thousand) were the areas with the least population.
According to the committee, the city of Gulistan (71.7), Chirokchi district (43.6) and Navoi city (34.1) had the highest birth rate per 1,000 residents.
