Bid winners for construction of three solar photovoltaic stations in Uzbekistan determined
The stations are expected to become operational by the end of 2024.
On December 15, the winners of the tenders for the construction and operation of 3 solar photovoltaic stations with a total capacity of 500 MW in Bukhara, Namangan and Khorezm regions were determined.
As a result of tenders:
MASDAR has won a tender for the construction of a 250 MW plant in Bukhara region with an offer of 3,044 US cents per kilowatt-hour of electricity generated. It is important to note that this is the first project in Uzbekistan to be implemented with a 62 MW Electricity Storage System (BESS).
A consortium of companies GD Power – Powerchina has been selected as the winner for the construction of a 150 MW photovoltaic plant in the Namangan region with a bid of 4,828 US cents per kilowatt-hour of electricity generated.
Voltalia has been selected as the winner for the construction of a 100 MW photovoltaic plant in Khorezm region with a bid of 2,888 US cents per kilowatt-hour of electricity generated.
The stations are expected to become operational by the end of 2024.
