“Uzbekistan will introduce criminal liability for attracting teachers in work not related to their duties” – Saida Mirziyoyeva

The head of the sector for communications and information policy of the executive office of the presidential administration, Saida Mirziyoyeva, said that those who will entrust teachers with work not related to their duties will be held administratively and criminally liable.

She added that the relevant bill has already been developed and is expected to be adopted in the near future.

“Unfortunately, for many years the teachers teaching our children were powerless, defenseless, and their work was devalued. They were used as gardeners, janitors, waiters serving committees who came to school, “extras” filling empty halls at boring events, forced subscribers to print publications, night attendants and school security guards.

It is time to stop this state of affairs. After all, if we do not elevate the honor and dignity of the Teacher, we will not be able to achieve anything,” Mirziyoyeva said at the end of the “Zakovat” intellectual Olympiad in Tashkent.
