About five thousand officials prosecuted for corruption crimes in Uzbekistan over two years
During his address to the parliament, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev touched upon the issue of corruption, which is the most urgent problem.

“Over the past two years, about 5,000 officials have been prosecuted for corruption crimes,” the president said.
Mirziyoyev called on deputies and senators, as well as local councils to analyze specific areas and be active in eliminating corruption.
It was emphasized that all loopholes allowing artificial monopoly, hidden schemes and corruption, in general, will be eliminated.
