Draft Public Health Code published
The Ministry of Health has submitted for discussion the draft Code of Public Health Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The draft Code consists of general and special parts and includes 200 articles.
The general part consists of 5 chapters and includes:
• basic rules;
• public administration in the field of healthcare;
• the healthcare system of Uzbekistan and its financing;
• digital healthcare;
• rights and obligations of healthcare subjects.
The special part consists of 16 chapters covering the following main areas:
• features of the organization of public health protection;
• prevention of infectious and non-infectious diseases;
• general rules for the provision of medical care;
• departmental medicine;
• regulation of special relations in the field of healthcare;
• providing medical care for major infectious and non-communicable diseases;
• ensuring the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population;
• donation and transplantation;
• pharmaceutical activities, circulation of medicines and medical products;
• educational and scientific activity in the field of public health;
• personnel policy in the field of healthcare;
• the status of medical and pharmaceutical workers;
• final provisions.
Also, a list of legal documents of Uzbekistan was determined, which will lose their force in connection with the entry into force of the Code.
