Bronze medalists of Deaflympics awarded one-time cash

A one-time cash prize was awarded to the athletes who participated in the 2022 XXIV Deaflympics in Brazil, the Ministry of Sports Development (now the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports) reports. 

Dilbar Tojiboyeva, Guzal Eshmirzayeva, Maftuna Abdiyusupova won 3 bronze medals for the first time in Taekwondo WT.  On December 30, the Ministry awarded 10,000 dollars to each of the bronze medalists at the 24th Deaflympic Games, and 5,000 dollars to the trainers who prepared them - Davron Khidirov and Zaynobiddin Nazaraliyev.

Earlier, Kun.uz published an article about the fact that the athletes who took part in the international competition among the hearing impaired in Brazil were not awarded and the athletes were dissatisfied with this. In it, officials of the Ministry of Sports Development informed that they sent an appeal to the Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov asking for a one-time cash prize of 10,000 dollars for each of the winners, and 5,000 dollars for the coaches who trained the athletes, and they were waiting for the government’s response.
