Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan discuss demarcation of state border
On February 12-18, working groups of government delegations of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan held the next round of meetings in Fergana to agree on organizational and legal issues of the upcoming demarcation of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz state border.
During the negotiations, the parties prepared for further approval draft legal and technical documents regulating the work on demarcation and also agreed on a schedule for field surveys of individual sections of the border.
“The meeting was held in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding. Following the event, a protocol was signed,” the MFA said in a statement.
The next meeting will take place on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
