Ministry of Construction, Tashkent city administration tasked with finding a solution for drainage system
Under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a videoconference meeting was held on housing construction and mortgage program implementation for 2023 in the New Uzbekistan blocks.
It is noted that today new houses are built from local building materials. However, half of the 3,000 enterprises that produce reinforced concrete, which affects the quality of constructions, do not have laboratories. Last year, more than 1,000 cases of poor quality of reinforced concrete, wall constructions and welding work were identified in housing construction.
Therefore, officials were instructed to approve the “roadmap” for the establishment of modern laboratories in all reinforced concrete enterprises.
Seismic activity has been observed both globally and in the region in recent months. Therefore, from May 1:
- before the start of construction, it will be mandatory to carry out an engineering-geological expertise on the selected land plots;
- construction of buildings and structures with high seismic safety requirements, such as bridges, tunnels, high-rise buildings, is carried out only by enterprises with “A” and “B” categories in the electronic rating of construction and contracting organizations.
It was pointed out that the rainfall clearly shows that the drainage system of the cities is in a bad condition. The Ministry of Construction and Tashkent city administration were instructed to adopt and implement a program on the solution of this issue within two weeks.
During the meeting, information from the officials was heard on the issues on the agenda.
