Uzbekistan increases footwear export

The value of footwear exports increased by $2.4 million compared to the same period last year, the Statistics Agency said.

Countries to which Uzbekistan exported the most footwear in January-February 2023:

• Kyrgyz R. - 1.5 million pairs
• Kazakhstan - 1.3 million pairs
• Tajikistan - 484 thousand pairs
• Azerbaijan - 59 thousand pairs

Provinces that exported the most footwear to foreign countries during the reporting period:

• Andijan region - $4.6 million
• Fergana region - $1 million
• Samarkand region - $758 thousand
• Khorezm region - $511 thousand
