Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives Defense Minister of Italy

According to the presidential press service, at the beginning of the meeting, Crosetto conveyed to Mirziyoyev sincere greetings and best wishes from Italian President Sergio Mattarella and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Then, the parties considered the further expansion of the Uzbek-Italian multifaceted relations.

During the conversation, special attention was paid to issues of practical cooperation in the field of energy, including renewables, logistics, agriculture and other industries.

Mirziyoyev noted the importance of establishing partnerships between the defense departments of Uzbekistan and Italy.

An exchange of views also took place on issues of ensuring regional stability and security, including a peaceful settlement of the situation in Afghanistan.
