Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives Qohir Rasulzoda
On May 12, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Prime Minister of Tajikistan, Qohir Rasulzoda, who is in the country to participate in the next meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission.

According to the press service, during the meeting, issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Tajik relations of good neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance were considered, and prospects for expanding practical cooperation were discussed.
“The dynamic development of bilateral cooperation in accordance with the agreements at the highest level was noted with satisfaction. The volumes of mutual trade and cargo transportation are growing, the number of successful cooperation projects is increasing. Close interregional contacts have been established, active cultural and humanitarian exchanges are being carried out,” the report reads.


Particular attention was paid to the adoption of effective measures to increase trade turnover, promote promising projects in energy, engineering, agriculture, transport, mining, textile and other industries with the involvement of financing from the Uzbek-Tajik investment company.
In this context, the importance of the practical implementation of the decisions of the meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission held today under the chairmanship of the prime ministers of the two countries in Tashkent was emphasized.
