CEC allows political parties to participate in presidential election
The following session of the Central Election Commission dedicated to the election of the President of Uzbekistan took place ahead of schedule.
According to the CEC, the issue of allowing parties to participate in the presidential election of Uzbekistan before the deadline was discussed at the meeting attended by authorized representatives of political parties.
According to the Electoral Code, after considering the documents submitted by the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businessmen – Liberal-Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, “Adolat” Social-Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, Ecological Party of Uzbekistan and “Milliy Tiklanish” Democratic Party of Uzbekistan requesting permission to participate in the presidential election of Uzbekistan before the deadline, these parties were given permission to participate in the presidential election of Uzbekistan on July 9, 2023, and relevant decisions were made.
Also, within the framework of the meeting, authorized representatives of political parties were given a certificate of permission to participate in the election, as well as signature forms of the specified model.
