Police detain man who sold non-existent air tickets to 15 people for about 250 million soums in Tashkent

A criminal case has been initiated against the man who embezzled the money.

According to the Shaykhantakhur district DIA, a 32-year-old entrepreneur, head of a private company, sold non-existent air tickets to 15 citizens in 2022. He received 246 million 520 thousand soums from those people.

However, the man did not give them the tickets he was supposed to provide, nor did he transfer the money to the bank account of the company. Reportedly, he spent the money on his own needs.

On this fact, a criminal case has been initiated under Art. 168 of the Criminal Code (Fraud), investigative actions are underway.
