Great Britain may finance projects for construction of highways in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan and Great Britain are discussing new opportunities for deepening trade-economic and investment cooperation.
Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov held talks with Tim Reid, CEO of UK Export Finance (UKEF).
According to the Ministry, at the meeting, the parties discussed promising directions of cooperation.
During the conversation, it was noted with pleasure that the volume of trade between Uzbekistan and Great Britain doubled last year.
At the meeting, the British side expressed its interest in financing large-scale investment projects in Uzbekistan for the construction of highways, solar and wind power stations, extraction and processing of minerals.
The UK Export Finance is a government agency. Its main mission is to support and encourage the export of British goods and services through the provision of loans, guarantees, insurance, advisory support and other assistance.
