SFO confiscates Gulnara Karimova’s property worth £20 million in the UK
The Serious Fraud Office (SFO) confiscated two apartments and a house belonging to Gulnara Karimova in the UK. The properties are valued at over £20 million.

Two apartments are in the prestigious Belgravia district of London and a house is in Surrey. They cost more than £20 million.
According to the SFO statement, Gulnara Karimova bought this property with the proceeds of corrupt activities in Uzbekistan.
In October 2018, the SFO applied to the court to confiscate Karimova's assets in the UK, including three properties. According to the agency, on August 8, the Supreme Court of Great Britain satisfied this claim.
Since the spring of 2019, Gulnara Karimova has been serving her sentence in colony No. 21 in the Tashkent region. In March 2020, the Supreme Court announced that she was sentenced to 13 years and 4 months in prison on charges of organizing a criminal group, fraud, embezzlement of state property and other crimes.
The total amount of assets related to Gulnara Karimova in Switzerland, France, the USA and a number of other countries is estimated at about $1.4 billion.
